Who we are
At Alianza, we understand that immigration issues are more than just paperwork — they are stories of struggle, sacrifice, and dreams for a better life. Our legal department, accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), offers professional and affordable immigration legal services to low-income individuals and families. We guide our clients through complex processes including family petitions, citizenship and naturalization, DACA renewals, VAWA and U-Visa petitions for victims of crimes and domestic violence, and much more.
But our work doesn’t stop at legal assistance. We also provide community outreach, education, and advocacy programs designed to inform individuals about their rights and connect them with essential social services such as counseling, housing, and language access. Through collaboration with local agencies, faith-based organizations, and state programs, we make sure every family we serve receives the resources they need to thrive.
Our Impact
Over the past 10+ years, Alianza has assisted thousands of immigrants in finding safety, stability, and opportunity in the United States. Our advocates have helped survivors of domestic violence reclaim their lives, guided youth through DACA and educational programs, and reunited countless families separated by borders and circumstances.
Each year, we continue to expand our reach — offering workshops, information sessions, and legal clinics that educate communities about their rights and options. We have built trust through consistency, confidentiality, and genuine care. For many, Alianza is more than an organization — it is a safe space, a family, and a lifeline of hope.

Our Commitment to Justice
Alianza’s work is driven by a deep commitment to equity, human rights, and compassion. We believe that immigration status should never determine a person’s worth or opportunity. Our team fights tirelessly to ensure that all individuals — regardless of income, background, or circumstance — have access to fair representation and protection under the law.
Our vision is a community where immigrants are not only welcomed but empowered to contribute their skills, culture, and voice to the fabric of society. By providing education, advocacy, and direct legal aid, Alianza helps build a more just and inclusive Illinois — one family, one case, and one story at a time.

Join Us in Our Mission
As we continue to grow, we invite donors, partners, and allies to join our mission. Every contribution helps us expand access to justice, provide critical services, and stand alongside those who too often stand alone. Together, we can ensure that every immigrant family has the opportunity to live free from fear, build stability, and achieve their American dream.
